I agree it's super difficult because the lightroom interfaces can be so overwhelming. For a long time though this is how I learned it, and then got stuck with the muscle memory of using specific sliders in the same order for the same types of exposure. At some point I'll have to post a bunch of photos that could then be reverse engineered into their lightroom processes....although, that actually sounds like less fun than learning lightroom itself!
